Happy Easter

Hays Academy of Hair Design in Hays and Salina, Kansas would like to wish all of its students, clients and staff a Happy Easter. May you and yours be together today and filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus died on that cross, under an incredible amount of pain he said “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.” I don’t know about you, but I know that I would have a very difficult time forgiving people who had put me through so much pain and anguish. You see, I am a sinner. I make poor decisions, I think bad thoughts and I am by no means perfect. But, I serve a perfect God. When Jesus died on the cross, my sins died with him. To prove his loyalty to you and I, he rose from the dead and ascended to heaven.

No-one is clear from sin and everyone has been sinned against in one way or another. It can really be a giant weight to carry around. It is time to lose some weight. (Not the Easter dinner weight, either.) I am talking about the weight of pain and sorrow you carry around with you. God wants you to give it all to him. God desires for you to repent your sins to him and to ask for forgiveness. If you do this with conviction, he will set you free from that pain. So what about the people in your life that need your forgiveness? God wants you to be free from that pain as well. It takes minutes to pick up the phone and say that you forgive the one who has hurt you. You don’t need to carry around their problems.

Want to do something to glorify the God that gave his only son for our sin? Ask God to forgive you for your sins. Pick up the phone and give someone else the ability to understand that you no longer want to carry their burden in your life.
