Our students often hear our guests refer to the services about to be conducted as “being experimented on”.Although they are in an environment where students are supervised, I find this term to really be demeaning.Students spend 3 months working on mannequins and each other prior to ever touching a real human. The “basics” classroom portion of their training is the experimentation, the work the student stylist is performing on guests is practical application.
What many of our guests have discovered is that they can receive outstanding haircuts, chemical services, facials and nails for less than they would spend in a regular salon while supporting higher education! It’s no secret, our return clientele is high.People enjoy the atmosphere, the students and staff, as well as the capabilities to make patrons feel and look beautiful.
Before you say you are being practiced on, a guinea pig, or any other crazy term you hear, allow the student to do your service and then ask yourself if it is of the quality you expect anywhere else. When you answer “Yes, it looks great.” remember that Hays Academy of Hair Design strives to provide the most hirable, financially responsible graduates in the country.
If you have not had a haircut at Hays Academy of Hair Design, and would like to see what all the hype is about, come in and mention this blog for 20% off of your haircut!
