Scholarship Opportunities
in Cosmetology

Being able to afford college has become easier than ever due to low interest rates for student loans and assistance from programs like the Pell Grant (for those who qualify). But, loans are something you have to pay back and lenders expect payment soon after you graduate. In order to find the most success financially, scholarships allow you to cut your loan amounts down by providing you with money to pay for school.

Hays Academy wants you to succeed not just in cosmetology, but to also succeed financially! The following scholarship opportunities are available for all applicants and students to strive for.

Scholarship Opportunities

Take a minute to  learn more on which scholarship opportunity  might be best for you:

Hays Academy of Hair Design offers one $500 scholarship to a senior who will graduate from any Kansas high school. 

All criteria must be received by May 1st. Recipients will be selected and notified by May 15th.

Scholarship Application Process

Once you decide on which scholarships you want to apply for, follow these steps on how to complete the application process:

STEP 1: Complete Hays Academy of Hair Design application. 

Please contact the admissions office if you have not already received an application for admission.

STEP 2: Write a one to two page essay on one of the following topics:

  • Why are you interested in a Cosmetology career?
  • What does professionalism mean to you?
  •  Why would you be an excellent recipient of this scholarship?

STEP 3: Please mail your application, essay and a High School transcript to:
