Integrity & Honesty in the Workplace
Integrity in the Hair Industry
Integrity is defined as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. Sometimes, having strong moral principles creates a person who easily is honest in all situations. Other times, honesty can be difficult because the situation you are in will create problems by being honest with the other person(s) involved. In any scenario you face, you will find that the honesty road will lead to a stronger bond.
Hays Academy of Hair Design in Salina and Hays Kansas works hard to promote integrity to both students and staff. Time and time again, students will say that they didn’t like the answer the instructor gave them at the time they asked a question or were coached up, but in the end, they appreciated the instructor challenging and supporting them throughout the service or situation being approached. Integrity builds strong and reliable people including strong and reliable employees.
As a salon and spa professional, cosmetologists and nail technicians are challenged daily to create a look that their client is counting on. Knowing that there are people watching what you are doing can be really stressful. Being able to tell a client the truth and by having integrity, you are able to better meet clients needs. Your employer will need to know you have integrity as well. They are counting on you to represent their business and all that accompanies who they are.
Integrity is the key to success. It can get you hired or promoted and is the main reason people like you as a person. Be that person.
